NABARUPA BHATTACHARJEE
PDRA - Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Originally from Kolkata, India, Nabarupa earned her B.Sc (Hons) from Lady Brabourne College in 2015 and her M.Sc in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) in 2017.
She then moved to the United States in 2018 to pursue her PhD at Indiana University Bloomington under the mentorship of Professor Amar H. Flood. Her PhD research focuses on designing, synthesizing, and analyzing CH hydrogen bond-based receptors for anion recognition and separation. Nabarupa is on track to complete her PhD soon and will commence a postdoctoral position at Oak Ridge National Laboratory's chemical separations team starting in August 2024.
Outside work, she enjoys cooking traveling, and lots of coffee.
